Injection Molding Two Types Of Respective Characteristics
May 18, 2018

Injection molding is a very technical and practical industry. It requires the use of plastic materials, toners, nozzles, molds, injection molding machines, peripheral equipment, fixtures, sprays, various accessories, and packaging materials. There are two types of injection molding, one is rubber injection molding, and the other is plastic injection molding. No matter which type of injection molding processing has its own advantages, here are the two types of injection molding processing.

1. Rubber injection molding: Rubber injection molding is a production method in which rubber is directly injected into the mold from the barrel. The advantages of rubber injection molding are: Although it is intermittent operation, but the molding cycle is short, the high production efficiency eliminates the billet preparation process, the labor intensity is small, and the product quality is excellent.

2. Plastic Injection Molding: Plastic injection molding is a method for plastic products. The molten plastic is injected into plastic molds by pressure, and various plastic parts are desired for cooling and molding. There are mechanical injection molding machines that are specifically designed for injection molding. The most commonly used plastic at present is polystyrene. The resulting shape is often the final product, and no further processing is required before installation or use as a finished product. Many details, such as protrusions, ribs, threads, can be molded in a one-step injection molding operation.
